Description

Expressing the vitality of the city by using buildings under construction as the subjects

Tokyo is always changing its shape, and there is always construction going on somewhere in it. It gives the impression of a kaleidoscope or inorganic seasons changing within the city, the new nature created by man.
By using the imposing appearance of the city as the subject, the artist shows his belief that the city is another form of nature - a new nature.

Symmetrical photographs express the present state of the city

The work of artist Hayato Koga, who reconstructs the beauty, misery, and power of cities, and continues to create works that reflect on the human activities that produce them and the world that contains them.
By making the landscape symmetrical, reality starts to look unreal, and the various visual elements of the city are purified.
By doing so, the work differentiates itself from snapshots, architectural photographs, and documentary techniques, and expresses the "now" of the city in the context of art.
